The European Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation - EMA - is organised by EIUC - European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation - a consortium of 41 EU universities that, in Portugal, includes the University of Coimbra, coordinating university, and the Nova University in Lisbon. During the academic year, the first semester, from september to january, takes place in Venice and the EMA students attend the second semester, from february to july, in one of the participating universities.
